Understand Talent

I may not be great at everything, but I am necessary because I am good at something. Talent is important but too often misunderstood. Every teammate should operate in their talents and skill sets so that the entire team benefits from the efforts of each individual. Those skill sets and talents should be diverse so that an overlap occurs. Teammates should complement teammates in skills and responsibility so that the best person for each job is tasked in a way that puts the team in a position to succeed. Teams misunderstand talent when they only acknowledge the sexy talents of a few without realizing that those talents depend on other talented teammates operating in the background to make everything possible.
