The Humble Confidence of a Team

We begin to accept our limits when we have an accurate view of our ourselves in comparison to others. This is a good definition for humility. Genuine humility isn’t self-deprecating. It is an accurate assessment of ourselves. It’s confidence in our strengths and an accepting of our limits. False humility is easy to spot because it makes a person sound like they don’t think very much of themselves. It’s kind of like sand bagging. It’s annoying because common sense says that we all have the potential to master a skill and develop a talent. Humility doesn’t think too much of one’s self, but it does acknowledge the contribution that can be made to a team.
